About This Blog

This is where I post my original works - stories, poems, proses, essays, etcetera. I own everything that's written here. If you want to post my works somewhere, please give credit to me.

Original stories are stories whose characters came from my mind. I own the character for those posts that have this tag.

Fan fic are my stories which stars my favorite Asian stars/anime characters/drama characters. I only own the stories, but not the characters (I do wish I own Calvin Chen and the rest of Fahrenheit... lol)

Roses are my short proses/stories. it may be written in first person's view or thrid person's view. It's just a narrative prose.

One-shots are my series of stories that are one chapter long. These are also tag as roses.

Actually, I was planning to make 25 short stories before my 25th birthday (which have already passed) and unfortunately, I wasn't too successful in making 25 short stories. I was panning to call it 25 roses, hence the tag roses here in my blog.

Anyways, if you want to read just one story, click on the title below and then start reading from below.

Happy Reading!

P.S.

I'm trying to figure out how I could highlight the entries here and copy, but I am not that knowledgaeble with HTML. So, while I'm trying to figure things out, if anyone wanted a soft copy of the stories here for reading purposes only, you can shoot me an email at tamed_soul@hotmail.com

I Will Wait For You In Heaven - Chapter 1

Chapter 1 – The Temporary Guardian Angel

Danson looked at the vision right in front of him. “Her name is Maki Horikita.” he heard Chun say. Then, he looked at him. “For now, your task is to watch over her. Guide her. In other words, you will be her guardian angel for six months.” Chun said. Danson was surprised at what he said. “Six months!” he exclaimed. “You mean to say, my soul will be wandering for six months?!” he asked. Chun just nodded his head. “It's all your fault anyway. If you didn't purposely hit on the truck to take your own life, then maybe you wouldn't be wandering like this. And besides, be thankful that we are giving you this chance to make up for your sin.” Chun said. Danson simply sighed at what he said. “Fine...” he said, resigning to his fate. “Well, your task is really easy. I'll see you once in a while to check on you, and to give you updates on your mission. Again, we'll be giving you three missions, and you have to successfully accomplish those missions or you will not be able to go back to your body.” Chun said. “Fine... so what should I know about this Maki girl?” Danson asked. Chun smiled at him, and patted his should. “It's good that you asked. Look...” he said, pointing at the vision. “She's 21 years old and currently taking up Architecture in your school. She's typically the living wallpaper, loner, a little shy... if shy is the correct word... actually, she doesn't have much friends because she hated the people around her, including her family.” Chun explained. “Hate everything around her?” Danson asked again. Chun nodded his head. “She is currently living on her own, after she ran away from home. Reason for leaving home is because she blames her dad for her mom's death, and shortly after her mom's death, her dad remarried to another woman. No, she is not the typical evil stepmother in the story, but rather, a kind-hearted woman. She have a stepsister by the name of Angela, who loves her to bits. But, she doesn't care about her at all.” Chun explained again. “Does this lead to my first mission?” he asked. “Bingo!” Chun said as he snapped his fingers in front of him. “Actually, the first mission is make her go back to her family, but I will give you instructions on when you will proceed. As for now, you have to guard her. And by the way, Maki have a third eye, so it's possible that she would be able to see you.” Chun said.

Danson just nodded his head as he listened to Chun. Then, she stared into Maki's face for a long time. Surely, it's possible that he have bumped into Maki while he was studying in the university, as she looked familiar to him. “And by the way, we have this few rules while you're doing your mission.” Chun said. Danson looked at him, and waited for him to speak again. “First rule, you are not allowed to see your body for the next six months. Even if you do, I assure you that you can never go back to your body soon, and it is somewhat locked. I think Pete locked it.” Upon hearing what Chun said, Danson laughed. “Locked? What now? My body have some key holes or have some access codes?” he asked. “Access codes. We are very high tech here in heaven. Only Pete can unlock your body so that you could go back.” Chun said. Danson rolled his eyes as he folded his arms. “Fine...” he said in an annoyed tone. “Next, since you are the temp angel here, you will have the same powers as the angels. You can fly, read minds, teleport, see the future, etc. But... do not abuse your powers or else.” Chun said. Danson gave him a confused look. “I will be able to read minds?” he asked. “Yes, but only for the person you will be guarding. As for the other people, sorry, you can't.” Chun said. Danson just nodded his head. “Third, since you can see the future, you are not allowed to tell her what will happen in the future.” he said. Danson nodded his head again. “I guess that would be all. So, you have to go down now, and do your task.” Chun said. “As in now? I have to go to Maki now?” Danson asked. “Yep. Your task begins... as in... now...” Chun said. Before he knew it, Danson felt as if he was falling from the skies.

--

“Awww...” Maki said as she sat up from her bed. She rubbed her eyes, and then looked at the clock beside her. It was already 8 AM, according to her Winnie the Pooh alarm clock. “God, I'm late again...” she said. Still sleepy, Maki dragged herself out of the bed. She took a quick shower, and as soon as she's dressed up, she rushed to the coffee shop for her shift. “Good morning!” her colleague, Nana, greeted her. “Good morning...” she said in a sleepy tone. She went inside the counter, and settled first. “Seems to me that you stayed up all night last night, huh?” Nana said. Maki nodded her head as she put on her apron. “I had some plates to finish, I have no choice...” she said. Nana sighed as she watched her friend. “You know, life would be much easier for you if you go back to your family...” she said. Maki paused, then she looked at Nana. For the past two years, Nana have been convincing her to go back home. Its not unknown to her that Nana have kept a contact to her stepmother, who would always check on her once in a while. “Nana, we're not having this conversation again...” she said.

Nana could only sigh as she watched her friend. She have known Maki all her life, and she know the real reason why she didn't want to go back to their house. “I just don't want to see you suffer like this...” she said in a low voice. She watched Maki as she busily took orders, and she know that she wasn't able to hear what she said. She shook her head, and went back to her task. There's no use arguing with her, after all, Maki have already made up her mind.

--

Maki was walking through the pathways of the university, when she felt someone following her. She slowed down a little, and looked back. She saw a man dressed in white sweatshirt and pant, tailing behind her. She shook her head, and went on her way, ignoring the man following her. The man began to walk and followed her. She could still feel he was still following her, so she paused, and looked at him. “What do you want?” she asked in annoyed tone. The man looked around, and then pointed at himself. He was surprised that Maki talked to her. “Me?” he asked. “Who else. What do you want from me?” she asked in an irritated tone. “You can see me?” he asked again. Maki sighed, and decided to ignore the man. The man followed her, until he reached her side. “You really can see me?” he asked again. Maki did not dare to look at him, or even speak to him. “Another ghost...” she thought. The man went in front of her, and stopped her from walking. “Aha! I heard that! But sorry to burst your bubble, I am not a ghost. Not yet.” he said proudly. Maki looked at him skeptically. “A ghost that can read minds?” she thought. The man smiled at him as he shook his head. “Its one of my powers. I can read your mind. At least this way, you can talk to me without making yourself look like a fool. And, as I've said, I am not a ghost.”

Maki sighed, then she folded her arms. She raised an eyebrow at him. “Technically, you are making me look like a fool again. Yes, I can see you, whatever you are. What do you want, justice? I can only see you, but I don't want to get involved in your case, I'm sorry.” she said. She began to walk again, but the man seem to flew in front of her and stopped her from walking away. “Again, I am not a ghost. Let me introduce myself properly.” he said. He extended his hand to her, and smiled at him. “Danson is the name, and from now on, I am going to be your guardian angel.” he said. Maki looked at his hand, then he looked up at him, giving him a smirk. “I can only see ghosts, not angels.” she said. “But it's true! I am an angel. And I was sent here to watch over you.” he said. Maki just rolled her eyes at him. “Whatever. Can you get out of my way, I am late.” she said. Maki went on her way, totally ignoring the ghost/guardian angel in front of him. She simply walked over him, literally. “Hey, miss!” Danson called again. Maki paused, and sighed. “What do you want?” she thought. “I told you, I am your guardian angel...” Danson said. “So?” she thought. “So, I will have to follow you wherever you go.” he said proudly. Maki let out another sigh, and continued to walk to her class. There's no use arguing to a stubborn spirit. “Fine...” she thought. “Do what you want, but don't ever get in my way...” Danson gave her a smirk. “Oh, but that's not possible. I'm your guardian angel, remember?”

--

It was afternoon, and Maki was at the study hall, trying to finish all of her assignments before her next class. Since lunchtime, she have not seen her supposed to be guardian angel, and she have not bothered to look or wait for him. He have been following her all throughout, as if he's her shadow. He was giving her help during her classes, like giving her the answer to her professor's question, or peeking at her classmates' notes whenever she missed something, but she ignored him. She doesn't need anyone's help, especially from an unseen creature like him. For her, that angel, or ghost, whatever it is, is a nuisance. She was reading her text book, hoping she could get the answer to the last question on her assignment.

“You can see the answer on page 547.” she heard someone say. She looked back, and she saw that annoying spirit again. “What are you doing here? I thought you left me already?” she asked in an annoyed tone. Danson smiled at her, and then sat on the chair next to her. “I'm watching over you, what else? And I didn't leave. I'm your guardian angel, remember?” he said. Maki sighed, and then she leaned back on her chair. She flipped her book to the page Danson told her. “Third to the last paragraph. You can't miss the answer to that question.” he said. Maki threw him a death glare, and Danson only gave her a wondering look. “I'm only trying to help!” he said. “You're not helping...” she said in a low voice. “I am! Really.” he insisted. Maki closed her book, and then faced him. “Look. I only want to be a normal person. I don't want to see you, because everybody thinks I'm a freak, talking to some unseen creature. Will you get out of my life?” she told him. She was trying to control his temper. Danson fell silent at what she said. He could only watch as Maki gather her things and leave the study hall.

“Aiyo...” he said as he leaned on the table. “i messed up on my first day...” he said. “You really did.” he heard someone say. He looked beside him, and saw Chun. “Chun?” he asked. Chun nodded his head. “The one and only. Wei, you really pissed off Maki.” Chun said. “You didn't warn me that she have a really bad temper!” he said. Chun looked back at Maki, who was just about to exit the door. “Well, you can say that she got up at the wrong side of the bed.” Chun said. Then, he turned to him. “If you'll keep on annoying her like this, you won't succeed with your mission. Remember, you only have six months to complete it.” he said. “How can I accomplish my mission, if she won't cooperate with me?” he asked. Chun just smiled at him. “You're a smart guy. I know you'll figure it all out.” he said.

--

“Maki!” Danson called as he saw her by the bus stop. Maki looked back, and as she saw Danson rushing up to her, she sighed with dismay. “Annoying ghost...” she thought. “I heard that!” Danson said as soon as he got near her. “What do you want?” she asked monotonously. Danson smiled at her. “I'll bring you home.” he said. Maki threw him dagger looks. “What?” he asked in a confused tone. “No. I don't entertain ghosts in my house.” she said sarcastically. Then, her bus came, and she immediately got inside the bus. Danson watched as her bus leaves, he sighed, and then sat on the bench. “Seem like I really pissed her off...” he thought.

He only wanted to help her. He knows it's his duty as her guardian angel. But it seems that whatever he does, she would get annoyed by it. “What am I going to do now?” he asked himself. As e closed his eyes to think, he saw a vision. In his vision, he saw Maki getting off the buss. As she crossed the street, a truck was speeding towards her, and hit her. He immediately opened his eyes, and then looked at the direction of the bus. He felt his heart beating faster because of his vision. He became scared for her. “Maki!” he thought. He stood up, and ran as fast as he could so that he could catch up with the bus.

Before he knew it, he was already beside the bus. He looked inside it's window, and saw Maki standing in the middle. “Maki!” he shouted. Maki looked outside, and as she saw him, he saw her sigh, and looked away from him. “Maki!” Danson shouted again. The bus stopped, and Maki got off. “Maki!” Danson shouted again. But Maki did not pay any attention to her. “Stupid girl! Something will happen to you, and you still chose to ignore me!” he thought. He ran after her as she walked through the street. Then, he saw her stop by the pedestrian lane. As soon as the traffic light turned red, Maki crossed the street. Danson looked back, and saw that same truck in his vision. It seems to him that the truck's brakes were not working properly.

As Maki was walking, she heard a loud screeching sound. She looked back, and saw a truck speeding towards her direction. She suddenly became scared, that she could not even move her feet. “Maki!” she heard someone call her. She closed her eyes, and let out a loud shriek. Then, she felt someone pull her to safety, and she heard a loud bang. After a while, she opened her eyes slowly, and found herself by the side walk. As for the truc, it hit one of the posts at the other side of the street. She sighed with relief upon realizing that she's safe, and was not hit by the truck. “Who...” she thought. “Maki, are you OK?” she heard someone ask. She looked up, and saw Danson worriedly looking at her. “It... it was him?” she thought. Danson nodded his head. “Are you OK? Can you stand up? I'll walk you home...” Danson said. Maki nodded her head. Danson helped her to stand up from the ground. “Let's go hom...” Danson said. He held her by her arm, and pulled her. But, Maki remained standing still. Danson looked at her, confused as to why she was not moving. He got worried, for he thought that she got hurt. “Danson, I'm sorry... and thank you for saving me...” she said in a low voice. Danson gave her a smile. “You're welcome.” he said. Then, he walked towards her, and held her two hands. “After all, I'm your guardian angel, right?”

--

Back in heaven...

She leaned towards her crystal ball and smiled to herself. Her plan is working as it should. “Danson and Maki...” she said to herself as she watched the two as the walked home together. “I wonder what kind of love story will happen between the two of you...” she thought.

--

“Joe...”
She heard someone call her. She looked back, and saw Chun walking up to him. “Leave the two of them alone...” he said. Joe gave him a confused look. “Why?” she asked. “Just do it. You're making things complicated because of your little game.”
“It's not a game.”
“I see that you are playing with their feelings.”
“i am not. And besides, their destiny together is written in the book of fate...”
Chun just stared into her face. Joe, the head cupid, stubborn as always. If she only knew what will happen in the future, then she wouldn't have made this little game on the temp angel and this human. “You can't stop me, Chun. You may be the head angel, but I am the head cupid. It is my duty to spread love all over the world.” she said proudly. Chun sighed, and shook his head.
